Inspired by the classic string machines of the 1970s, Ensemble is a Max for Live string synthesiser with a unique built-in morphing formant filter. Ensemble also includes chorus and phaser effects which can be used separately. Orchestral Ensemble Essentials 2 is a comprehensive collection of brass, string, woodwind and full-orchestra sections, taken from ProjectSAM’s renowned Symphobia series and includes sounds from Lumina, the latest addition to the series. Orchestral Essentials 2 adds 5 beautiful legato instruments: solo trumpet, solo flute, solo oboe, cellos performing with bassoon and bass clarinet performing with contra bassoon. For these instruments legato transitions were recorded for all note intervals up to an octave up and down. I just downloaded the Orchestral packs from Ableton. The Strings Ensemble Legato sample is 1.2 GB. It is an.aif audio file of a bunch of the strings sounds chained together. As the title says - I bought Ableton Live 10 Edu edition early October, about a month before 11 was announced, so I emailed them asking if there was any deal they could do (I was well prepared to pay given 11's features).
